Sorry my votes took so long. University is a pain. Anyway... the votes!
floflo79: Hollow Linden Forest – While I agree with some of the others that there is a bit of a disconnect between the two halves of your piece, overall, it’s still really good. The first half is really fun and whimsical, it’s great as an opening to a young protagonist’s adventure, and the calmer more mysterious tone of the second half nails in that there may be more to this forest. I think this works great as a score for the first venture into the forest before the real meat of the adventure.
Danilo Ciaffi: Wooden Men – I love how peaceful this track is. The storytelling here is great, playing up a mysterious nature of this forest then also making it feel like a safe haven for its denizens to reside. The flute I thought was beautiful, and complimented the guitar really well here with the story you wanted to tell.
Avaruussaha: Forest of Trickery – Trickery indeed, because there is a serious sense of looming danger here. And I love it! Your playing skills were fantastic here, the melody is catchy, and the tone you set puts me on edge in a delightful way.
Hslesperance: Beneath the Foliage – Oh man, the influence here is clear, and is sounds wonderful! The old school RPG vibe here is not only off the charts, but is a joy to listen to, and the somewhat unsettling tone is great for somewhere like a deep forest. Makes me feel as if I’m wandering through a forest I’d love to take a nap in, but would be way too paranoid to.
soundsandstuff: Forest of Ghouls – Well, it’s pretty clear you wanted to go for a spookier/more unsettling vibe with the composition and effects here. I wouldn’t have expected this kind of instrument choice for a theme like this, which in terms of the tone you were going for can actually be a good thing. It makes it all very surreal, and creepier as a result.
